Lash Extensions and after care
To obtain optimum appearance and extend the life of your lashes, follow these tips and care instructions.
In the first 24 hours, avoid getting your lashes wet to allow the adhesive to cure thoroughly.
In the first 48 hours, avoid hot steam from showers or saunas, as well as tanning salons or swimming. After this period, try to keep sauna, steam room, and tanning visits to a minimum as the application of heat may weaken the adhesive bond.
Daily maintenance: Avoid mechanical eyelash curlers. Use only water-based mascara on tips of lashes. Do not use any oil-based or waterproof mascara or eye makeup as these can cause the bond to weaken.
Avoid using oil-based cleansers on or near the eye. Avoid using cotton balls or cotton swabs as the fibers may get stuck to the lash extension.
Most of all, be gentle with your extensions. Do not pick or pull at your lashes, refrain from rubbing your eyes or sleeping on your lashes.
The life cycle of an eyelash is 60 to 90 days. Lashes will naturally shed at the end of their life cycle; fill-ins (touch-ups) will be necessary every 2-4 weeks to replace the fallen lashes and the new growth of other eyelashes.
